Again with beginnings

Day 1.

Today I walked with Matthew to the train station, did a little bit of Raqs Nouveau choro and did two belly fit videos following the low impact dancer.  I've gained  8 lbs in the past few months of doing *nothing*.  Between cold weather and a sprained knee, I was not motivated to move nearly as much as I normally would like.  I've been performing, but again, not nearly as much as I would like.

As I have decided that the next portion of my journey in which I *finally* realize my dream of being a dance teacher starts with becoming a certified bellyfit instructor, I need to get back in shape. 

I have been lamenting to my family these past few weeks about how I need to move, but I haven't really done anything about it.  There is always a reason why I can't or won't do it. From costuming to working, to it being the wrong temperature or because I'm out of state, I've just sat on my duff and played games feeling my body tighten up in the wrong places. 

Ten years ago I made the decision to put my money where my mouth is and went to Camp Hollywood.  From that experience, I made a lot of good friends and did a ton of dancing.  Injury, work and mental blocks have kept me off the dance floor and I'm quite miserable. So I have decided to start my next decade taking all I have learned and sharing it with others. 

The journey started today. Beginning again. Being easy on myself.
